August 21, 2009

Community Food Security and Food Justice

On the heels of the Time.com article on food security that got green Tweeters and Bloggers in a tizzy, City Farms offers this workshop to bring not just food solutions but food concerns to the local level.  According to their site this workshop invites participatns to “identify food needs in their neighborhood and explore how community gardens can fill the gap by increasing the amount of food grown, marketed and donated.” With Brooklyn Queens Land Trust and Green Guerillas Youth Tillers Program.
